On day three of Star Wars Celebration II, Daniel Logan, the actor who plays young Boba Fett in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, visited the Celebration II Kids Room. When Daniel walked in, the "Create an Original Star Wars Costume" contest was finishing up. Kids were on stage putting together alien outfits and putting on Star Wars character masks. Daniel joined in the fun, hopping on stage and putting an "Anakin" podrace mask over his face. Like the other kids on stage, he posed for pictures. Many kids and their families came up to meet Daniel and get their picture taken with him. He was very friendly, sharing his time with anyone who wanted to meet him. Afterwards, StarWarsKids.com got a chance to speak with Daniel while he sat down and played Star Wars computer games. What have you been doing here at Celebration II? I have been talking to a lot of people and signing a lot of autographs. I have also been working on stage and having lots of fun. I've basically just been having a good time. Heaps of people have already been recognizing me here at Celebration II, and Attack of the Clones isn't even out yet! It's quite fun to talk to all these strangers. I especially like the little kids. They're good to talk to. Where will you be on May 16, opening day of Attack of the Clones? I'll be in New Zealand. That's where I live. I'll be seeing Episode II with my family. I have three sisters and one brother. I am the second to last kid in the line up. What was your favorite day on the set of Episode II? My favorite day on the set of Episode II was the first time I got to meet George Lucas. The first thing he said to me was, "Hi!" I said to him, "Oh my god; it's a pleasure meeting you, sir." Was there a day for you on the set that was really difficult or scary? No, Mr. Lucas always helped out when things got difficult so things were always pretty easy. Is there anything you'd like to tell kids about Boba Fett in Episode II? Just that you don't need to be scared of Boba Fett. He's just a character. It's not real, you know? Which was the first Star Wars movie you ever saw? The first Star Wars movie I ever saw was Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back. I was 8 years old. I'm 14 now. I've seen all the Star Wars movies by now. I don't have a favorite; I love all of them. They're great! Just as StarWarsKids.com was finishing up the conversation with Daniel, a five-year-old girl, who had just gotten her face painted like Queen Amidala, came up to Daniel as he continued to play on the computer. "You look very pretty with your face painted," he said to her. "Amidala is on my face." "Oh really? Awesome! Do you think she's pretty?" "Uh huh." "I think she's pretty, too... So, how have you been today?" "I saw you on stage." "Did you think I was funny?" "Uh huh." "Thank you very much!" |
